Thanks." You don't say, "hey asswipe, control your dog!" even though the owner might indeed be an asswipe. You politely say to the owner, "can you not let your dog hump mine. If another dog humps Odie, YOU gently take the dog by the collar and make him or her get off your dog. So next time you go to a dog park, if you go, YOU are in charge of protecting your dog. Rape is a very sensitive issue for women and for a man to come onto a site and seem to make fun or light of it, well honestly you got off pretty easily, IMO. Think before you post a term such as rape or gang rape. Again, it was your term that got you into trouble. No it wasn't okay for Odie to be humped at the dog park. When you used the term raped, egads gang raped, you lost your audience. Even majorly humped would have been okay. You did come with a valid problem, however you came with offensive terms. Once again, I'd like to apoligize to anybody that I offended. I'm doing my best, and I think I'm doing a darn good job. I apoligize if I don't completely understand the inner workings of a dogs mind. Odie is my first dog, and he's only a year and a half years old. ![]() I take care of my dog just as well as any of you do. So don't say that my dog deserves better than me. I take him to the vet so often that the staff knows him by name. He eats expensive dog food and is at his perfect ideal weight. ![]() I keep him clean and his nails are always trimmed. He's trained and can do a number of tricks. I play fetch with him out in the back yard 2 or 3 times daily. I get out of bed early every morning and take Odie for a 5 mile walk. And even if it is a dominance issue, that doesn't make it OK for Odie to get humped by three dogs at the same time.Īnd to whoever said that my dog deserves better than me, I don't really appreciate that too much. I now understand that it wasn't a sexual thing, but a dominance thing, but at the time these events occurred I didn't understand that. Even though I was attempting to stop it the ENTIRE TIME, while the other dog owners just sat there like nothing was wrong. I came here with what I thought was a valid problem with my dog being violated at the dog park, and somehow it get turned around on me, and suddenly it's my fault. I didn't think it would cause such an uproar, but if it made you feel uncomfortable I apoligize. I was actually really mad when I wrote the post. First off, when I used the words "gang rape" I wasn't trying to make a joke. Ok, I know I said I was leaving, but I feel the need to at least defend myself. I don't think I'll be going back to that dog park. I was pretty mad that these people thought this behavior was ok. I thought this behavior might stop so I hung around for a little bit, but after 15 minutes of this crap I decided to leash my dog up and leave. Every time Odie tried to get up he'd just get knocked down again a few seconds later and raped. He kept getting pinned down and humped by these three dogs. My dog didn't resist much, and didn't fight back, but he couldn't even move. The owner of chevy continued to yell at her dog and physically pull him off my dog, but the owners of the other two dogs seemed unconcerned and thought it was funny. So before I know it there are three dogs standing in line taking turns on my dog. Soon after that 2 other dogs decided that Odie would be a great dog to hump. ![]() Chevys owner kept yelling at him, but he wouldn't stop. Then this one dog "chevy" that came in and decided that he wanted to hump odie. There was chasing, running, playing, etc. Everything was fine for about half an hour. I get there and there are about 7-10 dogs. My sister goes to this park near my house and it was a nice day so I decided to check it out. It's an affordable and convenient way to teach your child about new and exciting animals, in a fun and engaging way.I had never went to a dog park before today. ![]() Overall, I would highly recommend My ZOO Box to any parent with young children. It's clear that they are passionate about helping children learn and develop a passion for animals and the world. What really sets My ZOO Box apart, however, is the attention to detail and customer service. My son was particularly taken with the soft and cuddly plush animal that was included in our box, and he has been carrying it around with her everywhere he goes. The box arrived promptly and was filled with a variety of high-quality toys and activities that kept my little one engaged and entertained for hours. I recently subscribed to My ZOO Box for my toddler and I couldn't be more thrilled with the experience.
